They are just plain old country guys who do their own thing and don't give a crap whether anyone likes them or not. I actually work with several men that are every bit as redneck and country-fied as Larry The Cable Guy. I like Ron White in small, infrequent doses. I have that opinion of any comedian who has got famous for capitalizing on one thing and just running it into the ground like Jeff Foxworthy with his redneck jokes and Bill Engvall with the "Here's Your Sign" jokes. Those Episcopalians will take anybody as long as you get the wine selection right. I guess this is kind of "reverse Tebowing". I know he also has some medical condition that causes him to have involuntary tremors and he has to take medication to control it.Īpropos of nothing: According to this article in the New York Times, Ozzy is a member of the Church of England and kneels, prays, and makes the sign of cross backstage before going on. It's very common for people to stutter while talking and have it disappear when they sing: Mel Tilllis is one famous example. Still, I wonder if maybe Ozzy hasn't always had a slight stutter or stammer. He more intelligent sounding than Larry, but not by much.Certainly a life as one of the maybe top five most battle-worn (living) rockers in the world has taken its toll. Jeff Foxworthy did the "You might be a redneck" jokes. I guess Sharon is his balls and his voice. I've never understood how that is even possible. He stutters and stammers until you just want to scream, but he can still sing half way decent. One thing that amazes me about Ozzy Osbourne is that he can still sing, but he couldn't say shit if he had a mouthful of it when he's doing an interview.
